American Buffalo 24-Karat Gold Coins, 1 Troy oz Random Dates

Quick Overview

To meet the demand of investors who seek the purest investment gold possible, the US Mint issued a 1-ounce .9999 fine (24 Karat) legal tender $50 American Buffalo gold bullion coin beginning in 2006. The American buffalo gold coins feature elements of sculptor James Earle Fraser’s design from the popular “Indian head” or “buffalo nickel.” This coin just never seems to portray itself well with just a photo reproduction. When you place one of these 24 karat coins in your hand for the first time you’re just taken by the beauty of this coin. One side of the American buffalo gold coins depict a Native American, reportedly with a combination of traits reflecting the chiefs of the Big Tree, Iron Tail and Two Moons cultures. American buffalo gold coins, as their name suggests, depict the American buffalo or the “big shaggy” as the plainsmen would call them, on the reverse side.
